This tarining bag has a large kicking and punching surface. It’s tall and gives you plenty of space to practice your martial arts technique. The striking surface is also high quality, with a durable vinyl cover sitting atop high-density foam. It has a sturdy base that you can add sand or water to to keep it from moving around.

I chose this product because it was the one i used at the gym and figured i could do the same thing at home for a lot less expensive. i even told my weight loss doc about it and before i even told him the one i bought he mentioned that wavemaster was the best, and then when i told him that one was the one i bought, he was excited to see my results after using it. I have been boxing and practicing MMA for 2 and a half years at a local UFC fighter’s gym. Due to a foot and lower back injury I couldnt continue the high-paced grueling hour long training anymore. I have a good size 2 car garage with attic access overhead, but didnt want the house-shaking problem that is associated with hanging heavy bags. I’ve only had this Wavemaster XXL about 2 weeks, but I must say I am happier than I thought I’d be with it so far. I filled the base with sand, which cost me about $20 for 250lbs worth from home depot. The bag takes my strongest kicks and punches, with only slight tipping of the base (I am 6′2 and 240 lbs). I use it 2-3 times per week for 5 or more 3 min rounds. It does move around a little, but thats okay for me. The heavy bags at the gym would start swinging so much, and I know people say it good for movement–but it was a pain. With the XXL, you can still bob, weave, and circle out or around the unit, instead of backing up. I cant say I expect it to last at this pace for more than a year or 2–but who knows, it may surprise me. The regular wavemaster is such a piece of junk compared to the XXL. If you are a serious MMA person who works out at 100% and 5 days a week, I dont know if this is for you. For me, its more about cardio and working on my speed and, of course some power and technique. So overall, expectations have been exceded. Good value, and very convenient, no ceiling damage to worry about! D. Hanes
